Ambient Studios Producer/Engineer David P. began piano lessons at age eight. During his high school years, he began playing drums and singing at shows around the greater Cincinnati area. David began composing and producing commercial music shortly after graduating high school, working for Panoptic Media. There he created jingles and soundtracks for films, videos, commercials and documentaries. Music is definitely my passion, and I love taking any opportunities I get to help spread my love for music to others. So far, I have two degrees in music: my Bachelor's from the University of Indianapolis in Percussion Performance (with concentrations in composition and recording) and my Master's from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music in composition. I'll be entering into my doctoral degree in composition at UC-CCM in the spring of 2015, but don't let my graduate pursuit of composition degrees fool you - I'm definitely a percussionist at heart, and timbre is one of the primary focuses of my compositions. Zac is recipient of several awards including the Friends of DCI Scholarship, the Lacey/Striple Highland Band and Drum Scholarship, and KK Most Inspirational Band Member Award. Zac is a founding member of the Cincinnati Bengals Growl Drumline as well as director/founder of the Dayton Dragons Drumline. In addition to instructing at Cap City, Zac is currently the percussion director of Miamisburg High School, drumline teacher for Miami University, and a freelance performer and lesson instructor. I am a fun and easy going instructor who loves working with students of all ages. I graduated from London College of Creative Media in 2018 with a degree in performance and production. I also have a certificate in guitar. Performing in Europe was one of my greatest experiences while living overseas. My teaching experience started while I was attending high school. I began working at local band camps over the summer during my senior year and I found the experience to be cathartic and extremely rewarding. At the beginning of my college career, I started working with several band programs as an instructor and private lesson teacher. I have been actively teaching students of all ages since 2007.
