1My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 8 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 5 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. Andy has recorded records for various bands and three independent film soundtracks in addition to playing for our troops on a USO tour. At California State University, Northridge (CSUN), Andy studied classical and world percussion. He was a member of the Wind Symphony, the Symphony Orchestra, and was appointed section leader of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble. Read More

I studied with my Dad who played for Duke Ellington. I went to city college in NY where I learned much about jazz history. I've played with the Ellington Band and learned much about music. I am very passionate about drums and started teaching about 4years ago and I have helped many students get to where they want to get on their instrument. As drum instructor, I taught beats, fills, song structure, technique, and kit-setup, to a group between the ages of 7 and 14 in the summer of 2016 with the "Girls Rock Camp Houston", a non-profit organization. I volunteered to an additional guidance position as a "Band Coach" in 2016 to a group of young teen students. Both groups of students performed at a private and public recital where they all created songs based on the techniques taught during the course. Read More
