I have performed in (literally) thousands of events, including concerts, church and memorial services, weddings, funerals, parties, theme park openings, and national/international conferences across many states and countries, to include NY City/State, WA, TX, NE, GA, FL, NC, VA, MD, NJ, PA, IA, DE, CT, and also in Germany, Japan, England, and Qatar, with over 3,000 students/mentees. I start beginners with the drum rudiments and chart reading. This gets them able to move their hands and feet for better coordination. After they have better coordination I introduce ear training which is playing along to their favorite songs. This teaches the student how toplay with a band.
