I began teaching over the summer of 2010. While attending Berklee, I had countless one-on-one and small group sessions with fellow drummers where we would bounce ideas off one another and give each other "mini lessons," breaking down specific grooves and licks. In October, 2014, I led an hour-long master class for other Berklee percussion students about advanced polyrhythmic concepts and applications. Since then I have been living in the Boston area performing, writing, and recording with other area artists. I have a performance degree from Dean College and was fortunate enough to attend Berklee College of Music. I played Drums for the first time when I was 5 years old. Usually involves forcing student to use a metronome, teaching the student to slow down when a piece is too difficulta tempo,and making sure the student is addressing problem areas of a piece rather than starting at the beginning every time. Last 10 min.: Improvisation. This covers a broad range of subject matter. It might involve me playing something like chords while the student improvises.
