I began teaching in 2009 while I was attending the University of Massachusetts Lowell. While I was a student I began to study with some truly great musicians who really helped me realize my potential. I got some jobs teaching area high school drumlines and marching bands and really enjoyed the experience. When I first started playing I was mostly interested in marching bands and drumlines. I began teaching over the summer of 2010. While attending Berklee, I had countless one-on-one and small group sessions with fellow drummers where we would bounce ideas off one another and give each other "mini lessons," breaking down specific grooves and licks. In October, 2014, I led an hour-long master class for other Berklee percussion students about advanced polyrhythmic concepts and applications.
