I began teaching privately during the spring of 2018. I taught private orchestral percussion and drum set lessons at my home studio as well as high schools in the area. Since then, I accepted a position as a summer music instructor at Lakes Community High School in Lake Villa, IL. I have 5 years teaching experience with private drum lessons. Most of my students have been younger and really craved the fundamentals of drumming I have the most experience teaching, which has honed my skills as a teacher to provide the foundation for more intermediate and advanced learning. What I believe makes me a comprehensive teacher is the fact that I myself have never stopped learning new things. No matter what level you are, advancing your skills and that moment of realization that you have while performing certain skills on the drum set you never thought you would get down is an indescribable feeling and I love nothing more than seeing other student drummers go through the same emotions.
