I have written hundreds of pages of exercises from which to pull for virtually every difficulty and style. I have played literally thousands of original and cover songs with many bands. I love teaching, and I firmly believe that almost anyone can be taught to do almost anything! I have music degrees from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, and USF in Tampa, Florida. After teaching at Hope for 6 years, I joined the Air Force to play with the world-class musicians that make up their bands. I spent 8 1/2 years in Colorado Springs stationed at Peterson AFB, and I loved it! I then moved to Illinois to be stationed at Scott AFB, playing with the USAF Band of Mid-America. Read More

My loveof music began at a young age through playing piano, percussion, and guitarand continued to grow throughout my years of schooling. I graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver in May of 2013 with my Bachelor of Music degree with a Concentration in Music Composition. I have since been spreading my knowledge of music throughoutmy local community through teaching, playing, and composition. I started teaching when I was 18, still in high school. I have been taking lessons for 15 years at that point, and felt the need to share my experiences and knowledge with everyone around me. I found a lesson studio that had students for me to teach and since then I have been teaching private lessons, group classes, drum circles and at the professional college level for 12 years. My teaching experience dates back to my college days when I was an instructor for the Rangeview High School percussion ensemble for two years. This led me to start teaching private drum lessons, live/studio session drumming, and music production. After college I was feeling like that music education was not keeping up with the music business. As a record label own I felt that music education should reflect modern music making, that was the start of my passion for teaching students my drum philosophy. Read More
