When students move on to other materials, I draw upon their interests and the genre in which they are playing to find materials. I encourage classical students to listen to the repertoire so they can bring in pieces that they want to work on. I graduated from Northwestern University in June 2023 with my Master's in Clarinet Performance, and also from the University of Houston with my Bachelor's in 2020. Dan M is a freelance musician and private lesson instructor in the Chicago area. Born in the Chicago suburbs, Dan graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Music in euphonium performance, and traveled to Colorado where he earned a Master of Music in trombone performance at the University of Colorado at Boulder. My teaching experience dates back to my high school years, 8 years ago, when I was a section leader for my marching band and I got to teach marching routines and lead sectionals for my section. Later, at my undergraduate degree, I got hired at three different middle and high schools to teach private lessons and give master classes.
