Each student is unique. They require their own method and pace of training. My hope is to help the student reach their goals while still enjoying their time practicing for it. The routine that works best for the student will prove itself over time depending on the student. It may be to work one way for one student but not so much for another student. My teaching experience began 12 years ago when I was a high school student as a requirement of the Pedagogy class of the Conservatory I was studiying. I began teaching private lessons in a Elementary music School. Through the years I become a clarinet and chamber Music teacher in a Conservatory and hold a home studio until I decided to pursue my musical studies.Here in the States I began giving private lessons around the Boston area, as part of a pedagogy program I taught privateclarinet lessons and Band sectionals in Cambridge and Brighton Elementary Schools. In 2009, she was accepted in the Master of Music, performance division, at the Boston Universitys College of Fine Arts under the tutelage of flutist Linda Toote. In the summer of 2011, she participated in Trevor Wyes master class Preparing for Employment where she had an opportunity to work extensively with this world-class flutist. As a result, I have developed a teaching method, which combines ‘awareness instruction method’, with basic teachings in music. My outlook on musical training begins with an exceptional foundation of fundamental skills. I stress the importance of air and finger efficiency, as well as an excellent ear. Developing those skills early in musical development predisposes a student to succeed. When the student shows a clear understanding of such concepts, focus will be shifted toward broader topics such as alternative practicing techniques, reed working, technical knowledge of the clarinet, and a comprehensive study of the standard repertoire, as a supplement to each student's individually chosen repertoire.
