I'm a performing bassist and music educator with a strong background in jazz and classical music. I love to share my love of music with students and help them discover their own unique path. In 2022, I graduated from the Berklee College of Music with a degree in Performance after receiving the Jimmy Lyons full tuition scholarship. I've had the opportunity to study and play with great jazz musicians such as John Patitucci, Linda May Han Oh, Joe Lovano, and Danilo Perez, as well as perform at venues throughout Boston and the US such as Wallys Jazz Cafe, The Lilypad, Berklee Performance Center, Monterey Jazz Festival, and Dazzle Jazz Club. During my time there, I taught kids anything from different chords on the guitar, to breath support and passion in one's singing, to vocal improvisation and stage confidence. I've been away from teaching for a couple of years, but with the a Capella group, I have to accommodate for twelve different people and their learning styles. Read More

When Berklee accepted my application, I decided to go for it and moved to Boston. While I attended Berklee, I played in several local bands. I graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Guitar Performance and Contemporary Writing Production. Read More

For beginning students, we will first spend time getting acquainted with the instrument. It takes time for a beginner's fingers to get used to playing a fretted instrument, so getting comfortable is key. I will also start with the basics of reading music. As students progress into the intermediate range, we will start to train our ears with listening exercises, and we will also dive in to more difficult material. Read More
