I graduated from Northwestern University this June with my Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and Saxophone Performance. I maintained a studio of six saxophone, piano, and percussion students while earning my degree, so I am very experienced with private teaching! As a saxophone player, woodwinds are my specialty. I'm a professional jazz saxophonist and composer who has lived in New York and performed around the world for 15 years. I began playing sax when I was 9 years old and quickly developed an interest in jazz. I started playing my first gigs at around 14 and decided to devote my life to the saxophone and music. Currently, my teaching experience involves substituting for a drum class in one of the New York City boroughs, and assisting musicians or other campers when needed at Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts when I worked there as a Music Staff Intern. I have worked with multiple teachers throughout my musical journey and experience, and I have since picked up the teaching styles and methods that they taught me.
