I completed my Master's degree at Tbilisi State Conservatoire under the guidance of Prof. Tamara Gabarashvili (Tchaikovsky competition 5th prize 1966). Since 2004 until 2015 I was a principal cellist of Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theater. Since 2004 I am teaching private cello lessons and also working at music schools and pre-school places, and I am also a member of a string quartet "Iberi." My journey as a cello teacher began when I was asked by my teacher to assist him with a few college level students who were in the same cello class as me during my BA studies in Tel-Aviv University. I then discovered my passion for teaching people how to improve their technical skills in order to be able to express themselves musically. I teach anyone who shares the passion for cello (or violin, or chamber music). I tend to attract many adults who always wanted to play the cello, but postponed it, and finally decided its now or never. Similarly, I teach a number of adults who played through adolescence, but quit, and now want to return to playing.
