Every student is different and learns in different manners, which makes teaching a challenge. This is a challenge that motivates and excites me. I make sure to put all my effort into adapting to every student. Overall, I set reasonable goals for each student that are challenging, yet attainable. I believe in providing positive reinforcement while pushing a student to be better. Ultimately, my goal is to transfer my love for cello and music to the student and will always find a way to do so. Additionally, my double major in psychology plays a crucial role in my teaching philosophy. I believe it's essential to support students in their classical music training in healthy and efficient ways. By understanding the psychological aspects of learning and performance, I can tailor my teaching methods to address the unique needs and challenges that each student may face. This holistic approach not only fosters musical growth but also promotes mental well-being throughout their musical journey. Read More

I started teaching piano to both children and adults in high school. One of them was 5 years old, the other was 6, and another was 13 years old. I've also taught a 19-year-old for a short period of time. For the two kids who were 5 and 6, they were total beginners at piano and did not know anything about piano so my main focus was to introduce them to this instrument and teach them the basics of music theories, scores, and postures.
