In 2013, I started contracting with the Anaheim City School District to teach string classes in their after-school music program. Since moving to Texas, I have started orchestra programs at two different schools in Dallas county, while continuing to build my own studio. I am a positive and encouraging instructor, and emphasize proper technique, music theory, and fundamentals through a variety of musical styles ranging from classical to popular music. My students are all ages (I once had a student start at the age of 70!) and come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. I work with students to help them balance a practice schedule with the rest of their lives. For bass guitar I use the Mel Bay Bass Guitar Method which takes a student from creating rocking bass lines to building kicking bass licks from chord changes.Double Bass students will have classical training, techniques to build a solid, warm tone, use of the bow, and orchestral repertoire, including solo pieces. I am a passionate instructor who enjoys working with students of all ages. I started performing, professionally, at a very young age, during my 6 years at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. From there, I attended the Louisiana State University, as a cello performance major and performed with the school symphony, as well as the Alexandria Symphony, the Lake Charles Symphony and local venues. I went on to get my Master's degree at Georgia State University and then returned to Louisiana State University for my final degree in Cello Performance. Read More

I am a patient and encouraging instructor who enjoys sharing music with people and working with students to teach music. I started my piano lesson at age of seven and cello at age of nine. I got my bachelor's degree from National Taiwan Normal University where the country I am originally from and my master's degree from Northern Illinois University. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire tailored for each student depending on their skill level.
