I have been teached since 2002 until now. I have experience working from age 5-60. Worked with students who prepared for Regional Orchestra, All Sate Orchestra, pre college for Juilliard , Mannes and Mahattan School of Music. Also teach for adults. Every Year I am getting a Student Concert. All of my Students play in the Concert as a Soloist. Sometimes I do join concerts so Students can have experiences play with other instruments such as trio or Quartet. Read More

I offer the option for students to send me practice progress videos during the week so that I may comment on any questions that may arise in between lessons. I have found that this pushes students to keep a regular practice routine, and also develops their ability to self-critique and correct their own playing. I work with students to identify goals to focus on every week and develop effective, reasonable practice plans that work with their busy schedules. Read More

For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. I match my teaching with the goals of the student and ensure that results arrive in the optimal time frame. Learning an instrument can be difficult, but I do my best to constantly encourage students. In music, I am a believer in realistic positive reinforcement. Unearthing mistakes and discussing them is quite uncomfortable for anyone. However, more times than not, students fail to see how much they've progressed and how much they've accomplished. Read More

I work in partner with students who are enrolled in public school lessons, and incorporate their school's method book (i.e. Essential Elements 2000 or similar), as well as rudimentary exercises and pieces appropriate for their level. I am a strong advocate of Kreutzer etudes, Hrimaly scales, and Suzuki pieces as learning tools. I guide my instruction based around the students' ability, needs, and goals. I believe that learning music is a constant conversation between student, teacher, and any others involved (parents, guardians, siblings, school music teacher), and like to keep communication open with weekly notes and homework assignments recorded in a music notebook. My approach to teaching is completely different for each and every student. First and foremost, I first try to understand the student's pace and his/her previous knowledge in the respective instrument. That way, I can assign personalized practice routines to get them started. From there, I start to set goals, push their potential, and leap towards challenges that pushes the student's passion and curiosity. Ultimately, the goals I set for myself as a teacher is to provide the student with the ability to practice smart, diligently, and push their own creative minds into the music. Read More

I have been teaching regularly since my college days. I started as a piano teacher, but quickly expanded into stringed instrument. Right now I teach at home, in my own studio, my student's homes, and in couple local schools as a music director and teacher. I prepare y students not only how to play, but also how to become self starting artists able to read and play. I organize yearly recitals where all of my students can show their skills. Read More
