My teaching style is engaging empathic and emphasis on repetition and finding strong points in students to keep them engaged while working on weaknesses. I encourage all students to work on memorizing repertoire, keeping correct posture, practicing a few times a week and performing for friends and family during the learning process. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! On weekday afternoons in the 6th grade, after lunch and recess, with my large poof of curly brown hair, I excitedly wheezed and waddled my pudgy 11 year old frame across the blacktop and down the stairs to the basement of my middle school.
