I have taught for 25 years and can teach any level on guitar and most levels on piano. I have taught thousands of people, many of them complete beginners who have become very accomplished musicians through years of lessons. I really enjoy helping high school jazz band students with their pieces. I help the students understand how to simplify their thinking on the songs to make it easier to play them. Read More

For the most part I start with warm up exercises to get your fingers moving properly, then have a balance of going through instruction books and jamming and/or improvising in different styles, and slowly progress you and help with techniques to make you sound as clean as possible. I will help you be able to play whatever genre, or songs you like. As well as how to tap into creative flow and be able to improvise and write original music. Read More

It is incredibly rewarding to see my students develop a love of playing music. This is why I approach each individual student with a unique lesson plan to help them thrive. I focus these lessons on my students musical interests while keeping the lessons fun and interesting. I think its very important to teach my students proper practice techniques so they can continue to learn for themselves in between lessons. Read More

I also teach hour-long group vocal classes seasonally. On average, I teach around 30 lessons a week, mostly 30/45 minute sessions, and several hour long sessions in addition to my group classes. The majority of my instruction takes place over FaceTime/Zoom, or in the student’s home. I just recently moved back to my home of Colorado from New York City. I am now based in Denver, where I am head engineer/producer of my own recording studio, “The Mine.” Many of my longstanding students have continued with me as their teacher via Zoom/Facetime, regardless of me moving or being on tour. Surpassing even the teacher. I would eventually end up helping her students as i got closer to my senior year. I never even ate lunch most days because i would be in the guitar room practicing and playing guitar. After high school i moved to Colorado to where i am today in Arvada. I went to Red Rocks Community College for my AA Degree in Music which I got Spring of 2019. Read More

My teaching method varies depending on their age. From 4 years to 8 years i use an advance learning method, which consists of developing reading and playing based on color coding music notes. For people 9 and up the method i use is the traditional method from the Cuban and Spaniard school. This consists of developing the three characteristics of a musician. The first characteristic called Theory consists of the learning everything concerning music theory and the instrument. Read More
