For beginning and young students, we always start with fundamental concepts - producing a good sound, developing a sense of rhythm and pulse, building music reading skills, and fostering good practice habits. Once these skills have been developed, we progess to working solo repertoire and ensemble music. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, including being able to read both staff and tab and have some basic playing technique , I will begin to introduce solo repertoire.
