I began teaching guitar professionally for Roger Williams International Music Studios in 1973. We presented a challenging program with accelerated lessons, using a type of computerized teaching. These were group lessons but the advantage you have through Musika is one-on-one instruction. I teach and play acoustic, electric, 12 string and some Bass guitar. For the more advanced electric student who has an interest in the electronics of special effects, I have extensive experience with programming floor pedals. Read More

The most important thing for me when it comes to teaching is knowing that my student is progressing but also enjoying their experience overall, another very important factor is overall retention of the information. Every person is different so there is really no cut and dry method of teaching, keeping this in mind the experience for everyone should be unique in a way. By setting routines together Im sure we could come to an agreement on how we could both help each other achieve our goals and succeed. Read More

Every student starts or resumes classes at different levels. My job is to recognize that level and proceed accordingly. I like my students to be able to learn and progress at the rate they can or want to. Letting students let you know what they want to learn and at what pace, helps the student as well as the teacher in that progress. I like to tell my students that they will not only be a good player, but know exactly what they are doing. Read More

As I previously mentioned above,I show each student as much as they can pick up.I can show a student just about anything they want to learn, but its really about how much they practice at home that determines their ability. If the student practices a lot we move much quicker and it becomes more fun and challenging.Music is endless and you can never stop learning.they are proving more and more every day how music affects your brain. When you just listen to music, you use every part of your brain.Few things do that. When you play music you are using even more of your brain.
