In my opinion, love and art are the most beautiful human expressions and both of them merge in music. The music theory and technique are really important to achieve our musical goals, however, the most important thing is to have something to say and understand that music is a vehicle to express something beyond words. I teach my students to enjoy music and life through music and their instruments so they can be not just better musicians but good human beings. Read More

In my third semester at Berklee I auditioned for a cruise ship gig with Guille & The B. Band, a latin jazz quintet. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. For my more advanced students, I work with them on musical concepts to develop strong practice habits and scheduling. Read More

I have been teaching guitar for more than 10 years. I have taught different ages (6 to 60!) and students with opposite tastes and styles of music and that made me aware of the many possibilities and directions one can take. My experience as a teacher taught me to adapt to the students goals while being able to communicate the formal methods or strategies that define the understanding of music as a whole. Read More
