I currently teach music part-time at two Montessori elementary schools in the Southeast Valley which include after-school music classes and private lessons. I am the Worship Pastor at RPFChurch in Tempe, AZ where I play guitar and direct the worship team. I love to share my passion for music with every student and encourage them to enjoy playing their chosen instrument. I bean teaching after studying drums for four years with Kay Carlson. After years of teaching professionally I developed my own curriculum, based on Kay's lessons what I learned of the Mueller technique from Richard Wilson. My students have gone on to win performance awards, first chair positions other recording phenomenon. Reading drum music is of course my method of communicating with my students. I recorded my first solo album titled Just a Bass and won NMHS Battle of the Bands again my senior year. For my senior project I composed, rehearsed and performed my first Concerto for Cello and Orchestra and went on to study Double Bass performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where I received my B.M. I have played in many master classes with some of the worlds greatest musicians including Yo-Yo Ma, Edgar Meyer, Victor Wooten, Emanuel Ax and others. Read More
