I tailor my teaching to what my students want to learn and what kinds of music they are interested in. I try to teach my students the fundamentals in order to succeed. While I do teach repertoire, my main goals are to foster a passion for music and the ability to approach new music my students may encounter. In addition to music, I have also been involved in theater and performance groups. I have performed with famous actors and musicians at the Annual Fundraising Galas at The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp and at The Kennedy Center for Perfoming Arts in honor of Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward in 1992. When I first start working with a new student, together, we create a list of short and long term goals that they want to achieve and frequently revisit that list to make sure we are staying on track and revising it where needed. For me teaching is incredibly rewarding. It brings me great pride to see my students grow and as musicians and reach their personal goals.
