I've toured the United States performing in representative roles such as "Sister Leo" and "Sister Robert Anne" in Nunsense;" Lily" in Swingtime Canteen; "Adrianna" in Comedy of Errors; "Denise" in Smoke on the Moutain to name a few. I am a dedicated musician and singer-songwriter that enjoys sharing what I've learned over the years. I have been playing guitar and writing songs for 10 years, and have had the privilege of playing some amazing venues, including the historic Cheyenne Saloon in Orlando. Since I have a variety of instruments and style I teach and since the needs of each student are different, I structure my materials and teaching methods for the individual. I particularly enjoy teaching beginners and young children. I've taught piano from many books including John Thompson books and Hal Leonard Series. Both my mother and grandmother were pianists and teachers. For my piano students I typically use Alfred's Piano books for both children and adults. This series of books, I believe, does a great job of creating a starting point for younger and older students. Along with those books, I encourage the study of scales and other warm ups. For my voice students I partner with the student to find songs that the student will love to sing. My instruction for vocal technique is based on getting the student to have a free, beautiful sound through the use of breathing and vocalises (warmups). Read More
