I continued to teach through college, when I also became a member of NAfME and the educational honors society of Kappa Delta Pi. As an undergraduate I studied music education, performed with cello in the orchestra, took composition studies and a world music class, and achieved an A for my senior recital performance on the piano. Graduating from Grove City College with a bachelor of music and a K-12 teachers certification, I have since been employed as a substitute teacher while continueing to provide private music lessons to students of all ages. I began formal study of piano at age seven, learned to sing by participating choir from seventh through ninth grades, and developed general music skills by being a percussionist in Symphonic Band where I attended high school. From that time, I continued playing repertoire until entering college to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance with an emphasis on research. We all start lessons at a different age, have different strengths, weaknesses, likes and dislikes! I welcome my students to share what they love...and hate... so I can tailor our time together to fit their specific learning styles.
