I am a recent graduate of Kansas State Unviersity's vocal music program and am incredibly excited the share my love of music with you! Throughout college, I had the opportunity to perform with many different groups in many different styles. I performed with two different 9 member vocal jazz ensembles singing jazz standards, latin, samba and bebop charts. My teaching experience has been with my church choir. I started out as the accompanist and helper. A year or so later I found myself in the conductor's seat. For two years I worked with my church's choir to bring out the best that they could be, and to bring joy to the congregation. Not only did I conduct the choir, but I was their accompanist as well. I also want my curriculum to include non-classical musical styles that each particular student enjoys and relates to. In 2015, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Michigan, followed by a Master's degree in Vocal Performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2019. Hello, I'm Mackenzie B.. I'm currently a student at the University of Kansas for a Bachelors in Music Education. I am student teaching currently, which is my last step before receiving my degree. I currently work with Kerry Marsh for the KU Jazz Singers and enjoy singing both classical and jazz music. I also have two or three ukuleles and enjoy jamming with an acoustic guitar. With KU Chamber Choir I was able to go to Greece over the summer and be a part of an international experience. Read More

I began helping my friends work through their music when I was 19 at Missouri Western State University, and eventually cultivated a bustling studio of students through word of mouth. I now teach full time in Zoom and in person with house visits, or at my home studio.
