Then, I begin my strategy of how to devise a skills building foundation based on their needs. After a few exercises, I can understand how quickly they can adapt and try new techniques. I encourage my students to establish a consistent practice schedule in addition to their lessons, as it offers paramount support to the material being studied, reinforces and conditions the instruments, and greatly contributes to the progress of the student.
