At Northwestern, it was my responsibility, on top of earning my degree, to teach lessons to non-music major students. These student came from all backgrounds and experience levels, and their fields of study included math, computer science, drama, and more. Along with my other students, who I've taught privately for years, they all made improvements in performance practice, musicianship, and, of course, their voices. I began teaching in 2001. I teach voice, piano, and didgeridoo. I have performed at multiple locations locally including the Broward Performing Arts Center and the Lincoln theater. I have taught college Theory classes and Music Appreciation classes and have my MA in music history and literature. I am a passionate and motivated instructor and music performer and  I am confident that my academic background and performance experience would be successfully utilized in this teaching position. I have a Masters of Music degree in Vocal Performance from The Royal Danish Academy of Music and a Bachelors of Music from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University. I began my vocal private studio while working on my Masters degree in Copenhagen in 2007. As a performer I have had the opportunity to work with companies such as Opera Naples, Gulfshore Opera, Miami Lyric Opera, Sobe Arts, Miami International Piano Festival, Orchestra Miami, Symphony of the Americas, Miami Symphony Orchestra, Emerald City Opera, Miami Opera Institute, Florida Chamber Orchestra, Russian Opera Workshop, Danish Radio Choir and Orchestra, Royal Danish Academy Choir and Orchestra and the Amager Music Festival to name a few.        Read More
