I am a passionate performer and teacher who loves sharing my love for music with students. I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing and Vocal Performance. I continued my training at Manhattan School of Music and received my Master of Music in Voice in 2016. I believe that singing should sound and feel natural. I work to find out how the students voice naturally wants to go , so that we aren't putting on a technique that doesn't fit. Like a finger print , each case is different and individual. I love to teach the student that the whole voice needs to function as one and not divide things into registers. I worked at this camp up until 2020; when the camp was shut down because of Covid. Since then, I have been teaching private voice and beginner piano lessons! I absolutely love setting up a plan for my private students, talking to them about their goals and where they want to take their music learning! I have no "standard" method of teaching. I have use of massive resources and don't require my students to buy books. I feel that if you are enjoying the pieces you are working on, then you're more interested in your lessons. I work with you to create the perfect lesson for you. I believe in teaching piano students the basics and how to read music to start. I have taught using almost every piano series available. For voice students, I teach technique, do breathing and vocal exercises, and work on songs. I teach basic music reading, interpretation of songs, as well as good techique and diction. I believe every student should site read and read well. I teach how to read music from the beginning to piano students and teach basic reading to vocalists. Read More
