Every child, adult, teenager, etc learns at a different pace, has a different educational preference and I adjust myself to meet the needs of the student. Some will learn better by ear, others will learn through a traditional study of notes. I believe that learning how to play an instrument/sing with others in an ensemble setting helps reinforce what we work on in the lesson.
