After carefully assessing each of my students, and determining whether or not he or she are beginners, intermediate or advanced, I start them in the lesson book that is according to the level they are at. I teach from Alfred's Piano Course, but if my student has a piano book already, it is not a problem to teach from that series. Once my student has progressed and has a strong understanding of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire for their recitals and personal interest. Read More

I began teaching trumpet privately 44 years ago. Over the years I have added voice, beginning piano, trombone, euphonium,and recorder to my studio. I encourage each student to practice several times a week for as long as they can. I find that some students like to practice in one sitting, whereas others prefer to practice for 10-15 minutes before taking a break and then returning. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for all my students at each lesson. I create a positive atmosphere and relaxing one . I alway acknowledge how well my students do at there lesson . I have been singing all of my life and know how important my many amazing voice teachers have been to me. I have enjoyed performing in operas, recitals, concerts, and church programs for almost 25 years and teaching voice for almost 20 years.
