I'm a passionate and energetic instructor who loves working with students of all ages and sharing my love of music. In 1994, I graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. Performing as lead singer in a very fun dance/funk band with a horn section has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. I'm a singer and multi-instrumentalist (specializing in guitar) with over 20 years of experience as a performing songwriter, band member, and choir director. I graduated from Brandeis University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. I have played a wide variety of musical styles on guitar (acoustic and electric), mandolin, piano, ukulele, and percussion. Lessons are geared to the individual student. I try to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere while providing a professional experience for the students. Theory is emphasized as well as technique for both the piano and voice student. Most voice students will get a basic knowledge of music reading skills while piano students tend to have a bit more in depth studies.
