I encourage my students to listen to as much music as possible, to explore and find what they really enjoy. I was born and raised in Houston, TX and I received a Bachelor's degree in music education from The University of Texas at San Antonio and an M.M. in voice performance from Indiana University. During my time in San Antonio, I was a semi-finalist and finalist at NATS competitions. Working with beginner level middle school students, it was my job to help them choose songs to play, learn their individual parts, and help them rehearse as a band.
