I taught group music courses for children ages 4-12 in a seasonal camp for 2 years, and I found out that combining body movements not only helps improve children's singing technique and posture but also makes students enjoy and relax more. I use my students' natural strengths to help them understand the aspects of music that come less naturally to them. I move at a very quick pace, but I have my students set their own goals. While I will select the literature for the student, I want them to feel successful when they are working with me. I want students to be confident and successful, so I will do anything in my power to help them learn good technique and practice habits.
