My favorite part about teaching music is the look on a student's face when something finally clicks. The most important part of my music classes is that my students are having fun as they're learning. I want them to feel safe and comfortable, especially in making mistakes. Mistakes are a big part of the learning process, especially when you're working with something as tricky as your voice. After four years of daily warm ups and classical singing, I realized what it actually takes to have constant growth in your vocal abilities. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. You have to have a consistent schedule and habits that you set in place to perfect your craft. I learned that we are truly limitless, and there is nothing we can't do. Now, at twenty-five, I have had the opportunity to teach people from all walks of life, with ages ranging from 6 to 60!  I encourage students to practice "perfect practice", which means they are as relaxed as possible when practicing (mentally and physically).
