My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons almost 20 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio, several Piano Academies, and students' homes. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I teach classical technique that can be applied to any type or genreof music. I usually start with standard singing and breathing techniques. Then I will listen to a student's voice and determine their range and pick out a solo song based on their range, ability level, and the preferences of the student. I'm Jasmine, but you can call me Jas or Jassie! I'm a performer local to the San Francisco Bay Area, and I love helping other vocalists achieve their vocal goals. I started teaching piano in 2016 then realized I loved teaching my primary instrument, voice. As a Filipina-American, karaoke was very common at my family parties.
