My first experience teaching someone was when I was younger in my high school days, I was teaching my 7 year old nephew how to play ukulele which was an arduous task indeed. But through said trails and tribulations we managed to accomplish our goals together. Currently Im teaching guitar at the fine arts academy and I am teaching one student consistently while also substituting occasionally. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music. It's important that each of my students progress at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. My teaching experience started in Graduate school, at Indiana University. I taught voice lessons to a violin major who was interested in taking voice lessons on the side. Since then, I've maintained a voice studio from my home and remotely, as I've traveled and moved around the country for singing work. I've been based in Tampa, FL now for close to seven years, and was teaching voice lessons via Face-time and Zoom from 2020-2021, and then also began in-person lessons from my home after Fall of 2021.
