My love for singing started when I was eight years old. I grew up singing in the Los Angeles Childrens Chorus which gave me much experience as a working musician starting at age eleven. I sang alongside notable alumnus Billie Eilish, as well as with Gustavo Dudamel, the LA Phil, and the LA Master Chorale. I am completing my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst this year and plan to continue my studies of voice and vocal pedagogy in my graduate studies. For beginning students, I typically start with basic elements of Music: scales, melody, harmony and rhythm, with the interactions of musical instrument, e.g Guitar. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first performance. My goal is to foster and encourage a lifelong love of music and a passion for communication. To me, that means training studentsin the styles of music that each individual feels the most connected to, and then extending their knowledge and awareness to styles that they may not have as much experience with. I believe that an in depth study of music is, in essence, the study of communication. I am a dedicated and determined voice teacher, with a passion rooted in the desire to develop a healthy vocal technique. In 2022, I graduated with my Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from Binghamton University. Over the past ten years, I have spent time performing on stage in concerts, operas, and musical theatre. Some highlights of my singing career include touring through parts of Austria and Italy, working with music professionals from Juilliard, and competing in the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. I enjoy the variety in ages as I believe my approach to teaching is one of building a strong musical foundation and I am skilled and flexible to teach these concepts to all ages.
