I teach a breath based technique with a focus on relaxation. I want to help each individual find their true instrument. I like to use the 24 Italian Songs and Arias (Italian Art Songs) book as a basis for learning breath technique, legato, use of vowels and musicality, as well as being exposed to a foreign language. It is all about making the student comfortable and eager. It's important to always commend the student when there's progression. The focus of my studio is as follows: breath support vocal health and safety tonation style For beginning students who are children, I start with basic songs that can build upon the fundamentals listed above. I begin to introduce solo repertore when appropriate but I do not rush this process. Additionally; i take into consideration what kind of music the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly keeping lessons engaging and fun no matter the student's ability level.
