My teaching method is a give-and-take. The more the student is able to put into the lessons the more I will be able to help them out. We will focus on learning some fundamental concepts and learning songs from artists the student loves. Each week the student will be assigned something to work on depending on their skills and then there will be a check in the next week to see how they did and how much or how little they worked on that task. My first major role was Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha. As a student at Brigham Young University I memorized a 300-page Italian opera in 10 days. I returned to BYU after graduation as emeritus Singer of the Year to perform as a guest artist. Some of my performing credits include: Pirates of Penzance (Major-General), Cosi Fan Tutte (Guglielmo/Don Alfonso), The Mikado (title role), Mary Poppins (Bank Chairman), and The Music Man (Marcellus). I currently teach voice and piano lessons from my home studio on the northwest side of town, and perform/music directs with the Arizona Rose Theatre Company.
