Therefore, My method of teaching voice is typically work on the fundamentals, the breathing, the preparation before singing, then I want give them exercises and And for piano, beginning students who are children, I typically start with Faber's Musical Adventure. For my voice students I prefer to work within genres that the student likes; I did not like being forced to sing certain songs when I was studying voice, so I would not want to do that to anyone else! My flute students I like to work with the Rubank method books - from beginner to advanced; they offer the most comprehensive approach to playing the flute. I began studying voice in college, and found the piano background was an invaluable asset! My love for singing started when I was eight years old. I grew up singing in the Los Angeles Childrens Chorus which gave me much experience as a working musician starting at age eleven. I sang alongside notable alumnus Billie Eilish, as well as with Gustavo Dudamel, the LA Phil, and the LA Master Chorale. I am completing my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst this year and plan to continue my studies of voice and vocal pedagogy in my graduate studies. I am a singer/songwriter/keyboardist. I graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Salem State University, where I studied voice piano. I have a background in musical theater and have been performing in shows for about ten years. I sing in the band and the choir weekly at Second Congregational Church in Peabody.
