I use many different books, learning by ear, learning by youtube, learning by rout, and I have developed my own music writing technique which decodes any song at any level to a much easier level because all students are unique, and deserve to have a teacher who can reach them. My teaching started in my undergrad, about 5 years ago when I was required to take a Vocal Pedagogy class as part of my major. From there I fell in love with teaching. I was able to expand on my love as a substitute teacher at Rabun Gap Academy in Rabun Gap Georgia in 2012. There I taught five girls ranging from 8-15. I love to have fun in my lessons. No single student understands the same thing the same way so I take the time to listen/understand them as a person and as a musician. While it would be wonderful if all of my students became virtuosi musicians, I understand that sometimes math class may be at the forefront of their attention. That said, practice is still required.
