For adolescent beginner piano students I recommend 'John Thompson's Earliest Piano Course'. In this series Books I-III build a strong base upon which a student can specialize in different genre and styles graduating from book III. For adult students beginning I would suggest John Thompon's Adult (or Modern) Piano Course. The pacing of this book is far more accelerated and more in keeping with an adult pace to work with. I have performed all over the world on luxury cruise lines and have even had the joy of singing at The White House. So, not only do I teach but I have a great understanding of the entertainment business and can help my students to nail that audition and land the job or role they are looking for. My students appreciate having a teacher who understands where they are coming from and that I can help them get over whatever hurtles are in their way. Read More

I am a graduate of LIU Post who holds a Bachelors of Music in Music Education, Trombone Studies. During my time at LIU, I spent time taking lessons in clarinet, tuba, baritone horn/euphonium, piano, and trumpet. I am currently a Chorus/General Music teacher in Roosevelt. In addition to my day time job, I have maintained a small low brass studio but am looking to expand. I am a trombonist in North Shore Wind Symphony for the last 6 months, working with some of the best musicians on the island, under the baton of two of the most talented conductors. Read More

I have been teaching voice for 30+ years, from classical to broadway, and all forms of contemporary. I began teaching traveling to people's homes, and was so fortunate to have many requests and so created a home studio. I was asked to also teach in several towns. I loved and still love teaching and the students themselves. I want the lessons to be a fun and exciting process. I want them to learn. Read More

As I stated above, I'm looking to make things easy for people, whether young, old or someone in between! Singing starts with the breathe, and for me control of one's breathing will lead to success. Read More

After graduating from Hofstra University in 2014, I have had the opportunity to work in regional theatre and recording in and out of NY. I am currently an EMC working towards getting my Actors Equity union membership. I have the honor of having Broadway star Robert Cuccioli as a musical theatre acting coach, as well as renowned musical theatre coach Stephen Purdy. In addition to continuing my career as a performer, I have also enjoyed the gift of teaching voice to Broadway star Jake Katzman, of the Broadway production of Kinky Boots. Read More

For beginning students who are children, I typically start with a variety of beginner voice books based of the students interest. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More
