When receiving a student I first like to get to know the student by friending them. Asking question as to what their likes are and just getting to know them. For the beginner we start of with a Method book that fits their age and personaity and go from there. For the student that already has had past music experience I like to hear them play at first and see at what level they are to be able to place them on the correct method. Read More

My musicial experience started at the age of 7. This was the beginning of my formal classical piano training. In high school I stated learning more about the fundamental concepts of Jazz. While attending Cal State for three years I quickly developed and focused on arrangment and composition for all types of music. I have over 15 years experience teaching private lessons at students home as well as at my studio. I truly believe in all my students and try my hardest to encourage, promote, and evaluate weekly progress. At the end of the day each student can say I did my best because I practiced and accomplished my goal for set for me this week while having fun learning. Read More

For beginning students, I introduce musical theatre and classical repertoire and the fundamentals of music theory. As the student progresses, I include advanced exercises used to strengthen the voice and have them learn various styles of singing based on their interests and career path. Students are expected to vocalize every day on their own and complete any homework or songs before assigned dates. For students interested, I will also enter them into competitions and auditions where they can expand their performance experience. Read More

From 2001 to the present, I have prepared lessons to privately teach music and languages. I assisted foreign students with diction, reading and writing In 2007, for the Eutonic School of music I also assisted in recitals, and accompanied students on the piano. I taught them warm ups and songs geared towards their student levels. I love every aspect of music from teaching to promotion. In addition, I promoted advertised for music social networking site called Warfest.com via Reverbnation.com, and interpersonally where I set up free profiles for music artists, explaining sites benefits. My teaching style is goal-oriented and centers on positive reinforcement. This should be fun, not a chore. I love creating weekly/monthly/yearly goals so the student has something tangible to work towards. That might be a showcase for parents, a more formal recital, or an audition for a group! Each student brings a unique perspective to the lesson room, which is what makes it so exciting for me. No two students are the same, which mean I can learn something from the student as well.
