I have over 30 years of experience teaching both private and group lessons. I have taught several special needs students, and  have successfully incorporated many of these students into mainstream settings. My students range in age for 6-80, and I am capable of teaching all styles and levels.  My focus is on individualized lesson plans that address the particular students needs and interests. I first discovered my love of teaching in college, more than 10 years ago. Since then, I have made it my mission to make learning informative, engaging, and fun. It is important to encourage regular and consistent practice time during the week in between lessons so we can use our lesson time most productively and make your learning experience more enjoyable. My music teaching experience started after I graduated from college. I held private lessons to students who were preparing for auditions, recitals, NYSSMA, college applications, and to people who just simply love playing music. I have taught students ranging from elementary school to retirees. I encourage students to practice every day and help them stay motivated. I also urge my students to participate in recitals and competitions and play in orchestras and string ensembles, which will help them making friends and improve their communication skills. Read More

Teaching for me really became serious in 2018. I started with teaching in my own home and did go to the houses of my students as well for a short time. I do my best to give my students a good practice regimen that they can use to practice everyday, while also providing them tips to practice the pieces that they are trying to put together on their own. I love educating and have been an educator for the last seven years. I first started as an educator peer tutoring at the college I attended. I was amazed by how my students progressed and changed over time. I was also amazed how their disposition towards learning was cultivated in different ways. This ignited my passion and want to teach.
