For beginning students I do follow the Suzuki Method to an extent, where they learn the main parts of the instrument and bow, how to hold it to prevent as much tension as possible, and some general ear training exercises to help with learning pieces. I studied under Dr. Ernest Salem at Cal State Fullerton and received various master class from members of Talich Quartet, Mary Straub, Wei-Wei Lu, and most notably James Buswell. My former teacher, Andrea Byers, studied with world renown, Ivan Galamian. I received my bachelor's with an emphasis in music education. I received my degree from Loyola Marymount University. I have been a member of the Junior Philharmonic, Orchestra of California, Loyola Marymount University Orchestra and Beach Cities Symphony.
