I began teaching in 2020 during the pandemic. My experience during then was mostly through online lessons. During these lessons, I organized group sessions for students and recitals where they were able to showcase their ability. In 2021 I began lessons in person and also expanded to teaching bass as well. My former students currently are members of their youth orchestras as well as musicians in some of the local bands. For intermediate level students, I build on what they already know as well as improve basic skills that may have been overlooked. I initially decided to study piano and violin performance but changed my focus to education and teaching. I have 12 years of classical training on the violin, 8 years of classical training on the piano, have taught private violin and viola lessons to more than 300 students over the course of 6 summers through the Hempfield School District, participated in the NAfME All-Eastern Orchestra, performed for a year as the bluegrass and old-time fiddler in the Joe Hillman Band (Philadelphia, PA), performed as the celtic fiddler in The Ogham Stones (Lancaster, PA) for one year, and have led my own band for 2 years as a singer, songwriter and guitar player.
