Hi there! I'm a Sacramento based violinist, violist, and bass player. I've been an instructor since 2020 and have had the privilege to work with some great students who I've gotten to explore their creativity with. I studied music at Sacramento State's School of Music at the age of 16 and began studying viola under Anna Kruger as well as chamber music under Anna Presler and Andy Luchansky. For all of my students, I encourage consistent practicing of their instrument in order for them to grow and build their musical skills. Students are given scales, modern and classical pieces to practice. I find the combinations of these three things let most students see how diverse strings can be. I have 12 years of classical training on the violin, 8 years of classical training on the piano, have taught private violin and viola lessons to more than 300 students over the course of 6 summers through the Hempfield School District, participated in the NAfME All-Eastern Orchestra, performed for a year as the bluegrass and old-time fiddler in the Joe Hillman Band (Philadelphia, PA), performed as the celtic fiddler in The Ogham Stones (Lancaster, PA) for one year, and have led my own band for 2 years as a singer, songwriter and guitar player.
