I use Suziki Violin Method, Bastian for piano. I have also been developing my own method, and it's dependant in the students agenda. I encourage the building of reperatore early on. I have also used Liytle Einstein piano method and varies products produced by Hal Leonard. I find the students goals are very formative to the approach I choose to take. I teach repertoire from the Suzuki Violin School and Barbara Barber's Solos for Young Violinists, I also like to incorporate other styles if the student is interested, such as fiddle and bluegrass, and even pop and Disney songs. I also use etude and scale books to help build and enhance certain techniques, such as Wolfhart Etudes, Barber Barber Scales for Young Violinist, Carl Flesch Scale System, etc., depending on the level and individual needs of the student.
