I try to customize my teaching style based on what I observe each student needs. Some are visual learnings, in which case I do lots of demonstrating on my own violin. Other students respond very well to imagery, and listening to their own imagination/instincts. Some students need more systemic discipline, others require more freedom and nurturing. I have over 30 years of experience teaching both private and group lessons. I have taught several special needs students, and  have successfully incorporated many of these students into mainstream settings. My students range in age for 6-80, and I am capable of teaching all styles and levels.  My focus is on individualized lesson plans that address the particular students needs and interests. Some students are naturals at imitating what they hear, so we play to those strengths. Other students are more comfortable with structure and math, so we take that route instead. I also have years of experience performing in plays and musical theater. My most notable roles include Mrs.Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, Ariel in The Tempest, Lucinda in Into the Woods, Tessie Tura in Gypsy, and Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. I began studying cello, violin, and piano in Kiev, Ukraine and continued my music education when I moved to the USA.
