I'm a music education major that graduated from Mansfield University in 2016. As a performing musician, I have had the opportunity to perform some of the most demanding pieces for piano solo, as well as collaborative music. I continued to teach through college, when I also became a member of NAfME and the educational honors society of Kappa Delta Pi. As an undergraduate I studied music education, performed with cello in the orchestra, took composition studies and a world music class, and achieved an A for my senior recital performance on the piano. Graduating from Grove City College with a bachelor of music and a K-12 teachers certification, I have since been employed as a substitute teacher while continueing to provide private music lessons to students of all ages. I like to be encouraging and positive in lessons! I also like to maintain a certain standard :)! I think developing consistency in practice even if it starts at 15 mins a day is key to success. There is a lot of muscle memory and training involve and it requires consistency. I do my best to set realistic and clear weekly goals for each student and encourage them along the way! I find if one is consistent with practice, usually within a semester (6 months) or earlier, one can play their first song and feel comfortable to perform in public within 1 years time! Read More

I love teaching the violin and viola to students who desire to learn the instruments regardless of their goals for the instrument.
