I like to use the Suzuki books as a basis solely for musical progression, but technical set up is catered to differently for each student. As a performing musician, I have had the opportunity to perform some of the most demanding pieces for piano solo, as well as collaborative music. The skills are developmentally sequenced and build upon one another like a stack of blocks. In each of my lessons, I assess what students know and what students could practice, and together, we remediate and master each skill or technique.
